When should I be getting a positive OPK?

This is our first cycle TTC. I started taking OPKs on day 7, I believe. My period ended on Day 3. My lines have been fluctuating and I'm getting discouraged. I got off of birth control Dec 11th, after being on various types for 10 years. I'm so worried that birth control ruined my body and I won't ovulate.
Am I being dramatic or should my lines be getting darker by now?

I don't know how to vote because the options don't seem to make sense to me. If you have a 28 day cycle you'd expect to ovulate around CD14 onwards. If you don't know what length your cycle is I'd expect to have a positive by CD20. It depends really. I didn't ovulate until CD25 last month but I have PCOS so that's to be expected. 
It is very unlikely bc has ruined your body. It might just take a few months to sort itself out.

May take your body a while to regulate too try temping while using opks!

Best to test between 10am and 8pm 2 times a day keep going till positive there isn’t always a progression
