What do you do with toddler while showering?

My little guy is 1 and I use to put him in a swing in my bathroom while I showered but now he is too big for it so I usually wait for my husband to be home. 
I won’t take him in with me because my shower has a stair that he climbs and ends up falling off of! 
Also can’t do it while he’s sleeping because it wakes him up every time 🙃 any suggestions?? Oh and he also hates toys lol

Play pen or jumper ? Is where he sleeps close to the bathroom, if so maybe have him nap somewhere else for a while or use a while noise machine. I usually shower when my babe is napping, we’ve always used a noise machine. On days when she won’t nap I bring her jumper in the bathroom with me and talk to her while she plays.

Once mine outgrew his bouncer chair I just let him roll around on the floor and crawl etc with a load of toys around the floor, I take baths so it was quite quiet and chilled out, when he gets tired of that I will probably bring the highchair into the bathroom and play music so he can dance to it 😂

Crib and take one while he's having a nap or put him in the pram or high chair if he's awake will watch little baby bum while I shower he can either watch it on his iPad in the bathroom with me or in his room while I have baby monitor on ..single mum lol

I have a five month old and I take a shower after I put him down for bed for the night.

I just let him play on the floor of the bathroom with all the fun stuff he doesn’t get to play with like my hair brush and my make up brushes (never use them anyways), my phone etc anything to keep him entertained but usually he just watches me through the glass door lol or I put the playpen by the door so he can see what I’m doing and give him some toys!

Our daughter is 2.5 and I've always just put the baby gate up in the bathroom doorway so she could play on the floor with toys. Or I'll shower during nap time if I want a slightly longer shower. If she's in the bathroom with me, she'll usually bring in a snack and a cup of water or milk or something. Some days she'll want to bring in her tablet. Other days, she may decide she wants to come in with me. On those days, she'll sit on the floor of the bathtub or shower, playing with some toys and splashing. But I've overall never had an issue showering with a child in the house.

Does he have a playpen he can hang out in that you could bring into the bathroom? Or maybe an exercauser toy?
