What has been your experience with insurance replacing your car seat following an accident??

Christmas <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.glow.android.eve">Eve</a> I was in a 3 car accident that totaled my car. Scariest day of my life, my 11 month old son was in the SUV with me. Thank God he didn’t have a scratch thanks to his rear facing car seat. It could have been so much worse. I have a cracked sternum and broken rib, bruises all over and just super sore, but otherwise fine. I’ve never been in an accident before, so dealing with car insurance is very confusing for me, however so far they have been very communicative and helpful. They are working very quickly to get me a replacement car seat which has been a big relief.

However I’m a little confused. When I submitted the car seat model number, they reached out via business text saying that they can’t find the model in their car seat database and requested that I send a picture of the car seat model sticker on the bottom. I did, and they asked if my car seat was part of a travel system. I confirmed that it was and also let them know that they sell the car seats separately that work with the travel system, and I provided that car seat information. They just now text me a link of my travel system and asked if that was the one I had, so I confirmed it was. They then said “Great, we will ship everything out, what address do we send it to...” obviously I’m relieved that they have been so eager and helpful, but why would they send me the entire travel system and not just the car seat when I told them all I need is the seat? Has anyone experienced this? I guess I don’t have a complaint, just surprised and curious if this is the norm lol Thanks in advance and sorry for the rambling hahaha
