I wasn't raped, but my stepfather molested me a lot. Should I tell my husband? If I tell him he will probably hate my stepfather and will not hide his hate....yes, my mom didn't divorced him because of society bullshit.....sometimes me and my husband talk about stuff related and I think about that, even though I'm not lying I feel like I am because at the end I'm hiding something. Don't ask me questions I posted anonymous. Thanks for your comprehension and advice.

Yes, tell him. The fact that your mom stayed with him and that you still stay in their lives is kind of like he's continuing to violate you. Your hubby deserves to know so he can be your support and make you feel protected. He may also decide that he's not comfortable spending time with them and honestly,  IMO, that would be a great thing.

Tell him. As your partner, he would want to know something as monumental as this. And as for your husband being outwardly unfriendly to your step father, so what? Your stepfather has been protected enough by your mother. It's time for you to be protected for once. Let your husband do that for you.

If you feel like you need to disclose that to your husband because of any future events that might make you uncomfortable then go ahead. He is your husband after all. If you want to tell him that something happened but not say the person then that’s also fine. It has to be whatever you’re comfortable with but your husband will most likely want to stay away from that man, rightfully so.

I would. It will make you feel better and your husband would have a better understanding of your feelings and emotions especially when you have to be around him. Who care if your husband hates him. If you can, talk to a support group and or a therapist about it. They can help you decide how to tell or if you want to. I'd say you could tell him someone did it but not the who, but I doubt that is a good idea.
