Would you go to the doctor?

My baby is almost 24 weeks old. For the last four days she’s had diarrhea for the first time in her life— she’s gone from pooping once a day to around 7 times a day. Most are very tiny, just a little green poop. No blood or mucus, and otherwise she seems totally normal. No fever, sleeping just as well at night. She’s not dehydrated and is nursing well.
I gave her some new baby food the night before this started so I wonder if it was just too much for her tummy. I hate going to the doctor in the winter because of flu season when the waiting room is full of sick people. But she’s never had this before. What would you do?

My doctor told me in almost any situation when deciding whether or not to bring him in to ask myself three things: 1) is he eating okay? 2) is he still having wet diapers regularly? 3) is he otherwise acting normal? If all three of those things are okay, she said don't bother bringing him in. But if he is refusing food, showing signs of dehydration, or acting weird (super fussy, lethargic, etc) then those are all causes for concern. I think it's a pretty good rule of thumb!

we went through 6-9 poopy nappies a day when his teeth were coming in!! lasted about 2 weeks.
(now we’re on to staaaaanky almost-grown-up poos because of started solids 😷💩)

My girl has had diarrhea for 3 days now. Very watery! She normally poops once a day, but now she is pooping at least 4 times. She hasn't had any solids since December 17th, so I think it's either her teething or it's a bug. We called our Doctor and she said to offer pedialyte instead of a bottle for a few feedings to help her gut calm down. We also started her on a probiotic.

She sounds okay to skip a doctor's visit, but maybe just call to ask the nurse?

My girl did the exact same thing when she started solids. Pooping at every feeding and it was green. I took her to dr and they were unconcerned. The only thing they suggested was to stop solids until it cleared up and to give her probiotics.

I wouldn't take to the doctor for diarrhea unless she was dehydrated or lethargic. I think it's because her gut is just beginning to form the bacteria needed to digest real food that you'll notice a change in bowel consistency and frequency. I remember what something similar happening with my others, so I think it's normal. Might want to wait a week before trying other foods.

Teething done this to my son then it corrected itself. He hasn't got a tooth yet though.

Is she teething? My Lo had the exact same when she was teething. The excess salvia upsets their tummy and makes them do more little runny poops.
