🚫 No essential oils?!

Could someone please explain why something that is suppose to be natural and healthy also NOT suppose to be used in pregnancy?! 
This is a whole debate that confuses me so much. My husband and I love essential oils in our home so could someone people tell me if this is really a yay or nay thing...

A lot of things that are natural are bad for you. So you shouldn't just go by "natural"
But dont eat them and you should be fine.

I diffuse only. I don’t ingest or put any on my body.

I use essential oils all throughout my pregnancy, and baby and me are fine! You first have to make sure you are using good quality oils, ones from the grocery store are a huge no no!
But I use them for sleep support, immune support, emotional support. I can’t go without them!

I mean nutmeg is natural but you can’t eat it while pregnant 🤷🏼‍♀️ Most things that are don’t while pregnant are natural things like food. Just because something is natural doesn’t mean it’s safe for a developing baby.

I'm late to this but I used essential oils throughout my first pregnancy and plan to use them with this current one. I even had peppermint diffusing in the hospital room when I was giving birth to help with nausea
