When should you buy baby stuff?

First time mom here  I'm pregnant about 14 weeks. I'm very clueless on when to buy things and what do I need to buy? There is some things I know to get but is there anyone who has a baby checklist?

Start by making a registry. All the registries gave a checklist if basically every possible thing you could need. As you go research individual items, start with the big stuff and then refine even the small stuff to decide what you actually need. If someone is throwing you a baby shower you may get a lot if the items then, even if you don’t it’s smart to wait until you can use the registry completion discount which is usually 15%. There may be other things you can buy now to prepare that you wouldn’t put on the registry like getting the baby’s room ready with paint, etc..

I woulda start buying stuff now. I just had a baby 6 weeks ago and I didn’t start buying anything til after my baby shower at 37 weeks and it was overwhelming having to rush and get everything ready in a short period of time. There’s a couple of things that I ended up buying after the baby was born because I didn’t know I needed it which is a BOTTLE WARMER, BOTTLE STERLIZER machine, BABY CARRIER. Those 3 things I live by. How if ur breastfeeeding the first 2 probably won’t be necessary. But if ur bottle feedings yes. You don’t need to sterlized bottles after every use but it’s so easy to use and gives you a piece of mind knowing ur bottle are sterile and saves me a lot of time since it does all the work for me. I didn’t think I would need a baby carrier but there will be times ur baby won’t let you put her down and wants to be held all the time, so it’ll be a life savor when you need to get stuff done around the house while keeping her close to u. Buy lots of diapers, LOTS of baby wipes and LOTS of diaper cream ! Also don’t buy too many newborn clothes! Go for the 0-3month sizes ! Lots of footsie onsies ! They grow fast.

I’m 32 weeks and 2 days and we havent bought anything 🙄 were only planning on diapers, wipes, white onesies (we live 9 hours away from our family’s), we want a bassinet, and MAYBE a changing table. We will probably need more but we waited too long lol.

Pinterest is great for this and a lot of mommy bloggers also always talk about their favourite products. I would maybe plan what you need but besides clothes I would wait and see what I got from my baby shower

My fiancé and I every time we are at a grocery store we will buy wipes. Or here and there we will do a decent sized purchase on clothes , we got her crib sheet , some tummy time mats , already did her stroller set. Just little by little 🥰 I’m 28 weeks and my baby shower isn’t until I’m 36 weeks
