Have 1 baby, first time ttc though-when to check

Hi all, I had one baby already, but this time we are actively trying to plan this one so they are close-ish in age.

My question is this: I’m still 2 weeks out from my period. When can I start testing. I really didn’t have symptoms with my first, nor were we tracking things like this one. So today I’m feeling blah and cold like and having weird cramps and read that can be a sign of implantation. When can I actually test? Should I wait until 5 days before?
