How often do you think is good to see your in laws?

Wouldn't that depend on good of a relationship everyone has and how close they live? My husbands dad lives down the street basically and we go over there multiple times a week. His mother lives 20 mins away and we see her about once a week. My parents come over here quite often about 2-3 times a week.

Use to see my MIL once/twice a week but then we all fell out, now I'm only comfortable with once a month - but my MIL would like to see her more often because she Doesn't feel like a grandparent.

If mine lived nearby, I’d happily see them weekly or multiple times a week. Wonderful people. As it stands, we only get to see them once or twice a year.

My in-laws live 5 hours away and we see them once every few months. We aren’t huge fans of traveling to them as it’s a lot to pack up 3 kids and a dog. Much easier for 2 adults to come to us but they don’t because “they don’t like to drive”. Also, my SIL has 3 kids who are constantly sick and every time we visit, my kids get sick. We just got back from visiting them on Wednesday and all of us are super congested. My 3 year old has a cough and fever. I’d rather stay home and healthy than travel and get sick.

My in laws live 7 hours away and my parents live 4 hours away so we see them every couple months. I think people who have their parents live close don’t realize how lucky they are to even have the option to see them every week if they want!

My in laws live about 45 mins away and we see them 2-3 times a month, my mom lives out of state though so we see her MAYBE 2-3 times a year

My in-laws are 2.5 hours away so we usually see them once a month or once every two months depending on our schedules. My mom lives two blocks away so we see her a few times a week.

Maybe every other weekend. They want to see her EVERY weekend but I always tell my husband NO, it’s our time with her on the weekends. We both work full time and she’s in daycare full time so we hardly see her during the week. I drop her off at daycare at 650am and pick her up at 430. She’s ready for a bath and bedtime at 5. So yeah the weekends are our time.

We are in the process of buying a house so we currently live with my in laws! It’s great though. Grandma and grandpa love it lol
