How to transtion out of baby bath?

My little one grew like an inch this week and suddenly no longer fits her tub. I know I need a mat for the tub. Anything else? Tips? She sits but only for about 30 seconds before face planting so it will be tricky. I was thinking lay her down on a towel maybe. I have a mesh bath chair but she is probably to big for that to!

If she can’t sit unassisted for a while, I wouldn’t use the big tub. They make tubs that are designed for kids who are learning to sit. Our son had a Fisher Price tub that grew with him. It went from infant up to sitting unassisted. Once he was starting to tip out of it reaching for toys, we put him in a laundry basket so his toys were near and it was less slippery. He wasn’t in the big tub until 17 months and even now at 19 months, I am constantly reminding him to sit on his butt and keep his face out of the water.

How old is she? My daughter used this until she was 2 years old and she is always 70th or higher % for height.

I used a bumbo in the bath tub until my little one could sit unassisted. That and the kitchen sink is also an option. It’s smaller than the big bathtub and more on your level.

I plan on putting her in a laundry basket in the tub when she outgrows the baby bath.

I agree with the device the other poster recommended. 
Or you can try the laundry basket technique. Get a sturdy laundry basket and place babe in the basket with a towel underneath. Pool noodle around the edge of the basket. 
I’ve never used either product so just throwing out ideas.
