Please help!!

Hey y’all while I was at work my dog decided he was going to pick my tortoise up and chew on him. The tortoise is okay and there wasn’t any terrible damage done since my brother stepped in and put him back along with locking my dog up in another room. There is no damage to his arms, legs, head, or tail only some to his shell. He’s still been pretty active as well like normal. Do I still need to try to get him in to a vet or just try to wait it out and see? Btw his injuries mainly look like some of the outer parts of his shell have been chipped away
