Hi, so I’m a full time student and mom. I’ve recently been looking for a part time job. My boyfriend makes enough to cover rent and extra bills but we’re living pay check to pay check. We moved in with my mom because she was going through a divorce and I just had my son so we figured we’d be able to help each other out. Since then MY schedule has been create around their schedule. My school schedule has to be between 930-2 because my sons daycare hours are 9-3 or 9-4 the latest. Which isn’t a problem for me. But since looking for a job I’ve been freaking out because I’m the one that accommodates everyone’s schedule so now I’m not sure if someone’s gonna be able to pick up my son from school. I have a Second interview tomorrow... well today as I’m writing this at 1 am. I’m freaking out and just considering just working and going back to school later even though I’m supposed to graduate in fall. I don’t get how single moms can hold down jobs, school and kid(s). Huge props to you guys. I have two extra people. But I feel like I’m alone and have no help. Don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely proud and thankful that my bf has an amazing job and he can provide and he wants me to stay in school but If I do school and work I feel like a bad mom because my son will be in daycare a full work day and more if need be and I hate that for him. It hurts my heart just thinking about him not being home for that long.
