Baby sprinkle?

So I have a 2 year old boy and we’re expecting another little boy! I don’t want to have a full blown shower because honestly We have everything we need, and I’m not sure if it seems tacky to have more than one shower. My friend is insisting on throwing me a sprinkle for things like diapers and wipes and that’s perfectly fine! I need those! My question is, if i’m having a baby sprinkle so I still need to make a registry? I want to make one online to get my freebies but I don’t want to tell people “hey just get me wipes” and have a thousand items listed on my registry (you know how amazon makes you put stuff on there for every category)
