Anyone have issues with male fertility after having a hernia surgery?

Anyone have issues with male fertility after having a hernia surgery? Is this a actual thing? My husband and I conceived our first son on 6months. It's almost 3yrs. of trying for baby #2. Do you think this is from his surgery? The operation was years ago when he was a teen. Since we have conceived our first son- I feel like it's not what is causing the delay. Anyone go threw something similar?

We thought my husbands hernia, in his groin, surgery from when he was a kid was the reason for his male infertility. It was not. A urologist diagnosed him with variccoles. Since your husband has conceived a child naturally before, has he had blood work? Testosterone levels can be a factor especially as we get older

Not exactly similar, but a childhood surgery caused my husbands obstructive azoospermia... I know there’s articles about hernia surgery’s doing this too but typically it applies to really young children. It could be worth doing a semen analysis just in case 🤷🏻‍♀️
