Cramps and such

So for like two months now I been off and on randomly having these little sharp pains/cramps in my right abdomen sometimes lower sometimes a little more to the side but always that right side. I’m on birth control pills and have been for two years steadily. Could this be causing it? I just find the pains off to just show up and I off and on have very light spotting along with tiny little blood clots I’m thinking this is in the toilet after I pee not all the time just sometimes. I recently had a Pap smear results came back normal.
