Startling reflex at 14months

My son sometimes have startling reflex when he's tryna sleep. I know it supposed to stop at around 4months but it still happens with him. It doesn't happen when he's in deep sleep just when he's tryna sleep, laying on me or his dad. And he doesn't wake up. Anyone's toddler goes through that? Will definitely mention it at his next appointment but i just wanna know if other toddlers do that?
