Baby born at 36 weeks

I never could have imagined delivering this early. I am a planner/preparer and was still getting things together. Last Sunday I knew that baby dropped and I had lost my mucus plug. I got the worst sleep of my life that night. Super uncomfortable, a little crampy, and some bottom pressure. My water broke in my sleep on Tuesday January 7th around 12:30. I ended up delivering baby at 11AM. It was the fastest, easiest labor/delivery. I’m so thankful for such a wonderful experience despite being shocked and not completely ready. Baby weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces, and was 18 inches long. He had to incubate for a day and a half and needed frequent blood sugar and temp checks. Otherwise completely healthy and home now!
