Base Medical

So I go to the clinic on base today to get my ankle checked. I had sharp pain that came suddenly. The doctor looked at my foot for no more than five minutes before saying, "You're fine. Now let's talk about your weight." He proceeded to talk for over a half hour about how I need to lose weight and then my anxiety will go away and my ankle won't hurt anymore.

Is this normal for on base providers? I don't really need to be shamed about my weight every time I go in for something.
