Is it unreasonable to make kids shower every day?

Question

My 7 and 10 year old always complain every night how they have to shower. My 10 yo says “it’s not fair. I’m not even dirty” but her hair looks greasy. It’s fine and gets oily easily. They also play outside most days and run around a lot. I grew up with this rule and my husband did too so we agree they should be showered with clean clothes for school every day. We probably won’t change this rule but I’m wondering how often you make your kids shower? I don’t make them shower on Friday nights as it’s the weekend. Usually they don’t shower until sat or Sunday night. 
Also I should note that my daughter’s teacher sent out a letter saying some kids are stinky and obviously not showering regularly so I feel the pressure to keep my kids extra squeaky clean

i don’t think people need to wash their hair everyday but definitely wash their bodies. Kids run around and sweat heaps and even play in dirt so i think a quick scrub in the tub is necessary

My teens shower about every other day unless they clearly have an odor or greasy hair and that seems plenty reasonable to me.

Our kids are showered, same time, every day. 5kids & one on the way. 4boys 1 girl. 
They are outside majority of the day in the dirt. The older 2 at school. And as much as they dislike it, i can't help but think how good i feel when i hop into bed and i'm all refreshed, nice and clean.
Makes for a good nights sleep!
wether the kids can agree or not, a good nights rest makes for a happy day the following day💕

My 9 year old showers every other day, unless he's been sweating a lot. Probably would do every day if he didn't already have dry and sensitive skin that would be effected more by showering daily.

My mom used a make me shower every day and it made my eczema way worse. As an adult, I don't shower every day, and I won't enforce that with my son. For now he takes baths most nights but we should use soap, just let him splash around as recommended by an allergist. My husband showers nearly every day, but that's his choice and he sweats a lot so it's more comfortable for him.
