Conceiving after Birth Control

Hey ladies, so my husband & I are ttc since November, after I got my nexplanon removed in October I believed conceiving was going to be easy but I’ve heard it takes a while for the hormones to build up again & produce fertile CM. How long did it take y’all to conceive after birth control? I’ve also heard going on the pill to regulate your period then getting off of it helps to conceive too.
