What are your favorite messaging apps to use with your significant other?

We both have messenger, but prefer not to use it while husband is at work.

We don't like texting as signal can be spotty at our house, and husband is a truck driver.

We currently, and for our entire relationship, have mostly used "Kik" to communicate but we are getting tired of it.
