Got a UTI for the first time? Anyone can relate?

So I got a UTI, and It happened when I was randomly feeling myself and i didn’t want to reach for my dildo so I thought what is around me and in my stand there was a mascara tube and I was like why not?? So I did and after that everytime I would pee it would burn even if I had sex it felt awful. And I would put coconut oil and it would temporarily relieve the pain but it got so bad I went to a public restroom and yelled “ouch”. I did not want my parents to find out bc i feel like they would make assumptions of me having sex. They found out when i went to the hospital for another thing and they did a pregnancy test protocol thing and I had an infection. So this sucks I can’t have sex for 7 days and my winter vacay is ending and I wanted to get it in with my bf before. Has anyone had a UTI experience they would like to share? I’m feeling a bit down.
