Is it socially acceptable to edit your photos until they look like paintings?

I used to love editing my photos like this 
Like it’s past the point of looking real, and some people might think I’m trying to be something I’m not, so to prove that it’s not about vanity or fake ness,  I will post the ugliest photo of me ever

Anyways, love this.

I never see anyone doing this though. Like I don’t even care if anyone else LIKES it, I just don’t want people to think I’m being fake and scandalous or some shit. I just like editing my photos to nonsense
I’m working from home now, and have a lot of room to breathe so I’m picking up all of my old hobbies from years ago.

I think it would be scandalous/fake if you were editing them just to make you look overly perfect and trying to portray that that's what you actually looked like. I think what you're talking about is super stylized so it doesn't come across as you being fake. I would hope people wouldn't think you were trying to pass sparkles or gray fog as being real. Lol. I think they're pretty and if you like them, then fuck whoever has something to say about it.

Secondly, if you like doing it, fuck what anyone has to say. I dont see how it would portray you as being fake or self absorbed. It looks artistic to me, its just a way of expressing yourself.

They look like an art form that you enjoy doing, and they look very pretty and have feeling. IMO it takes talent to do that because I could never edit a picture to look that art-like. Keep doing it, they make you happy, who cares what others think.
