Would this be unprofessional?

So I work at a very large school (nearly 3000 students). I have never talked to my principal (he’s not the principal who hired me and we’ve never really said hello).

I am currently 14 weeks pregnant and I’m not sure how to tell him. I feel weird walking up to him and saying “hey we’ve never talked but I want you to know I’m due in July”

He’s so busy, so getting in to talk with him is kinda hard anyway.

Would it be totally unprofessional for me to just email him with the information? I’m trying to make this the least awkward that I can haha.
