What should I do? HS relationship advice?

This thanksgiving I kinda realized I liked a guy who’s in the same school club as me. Like all of us are really close in our school government club, and someone told me he liked me so we were flirting and all that. Then his friend convinced me to go on a date with the guy, lets call him John. So John snapchatted me asking me on a date which I said yes to, but like the whole thing was orchestrated by his friend. But, multiple people told me how John has liked me forever. So we went on the date and kissed, and started dating. We hung out in a group the next week and hooked up again. Then we went on a double date, but idk if this dating thing Is for me. I cant tell if I’m just scared of the whole thing bc he’s my first boyfriend or I just miss my independence. We’re going on a date tomorrow, but I worry if I do decide to break up with him it will make the student council really awkward. Idek what to do bc I don’t want to lead him on and I’m stressing out. Lmao, idek if this whole story even makes sense but does anyone have any advice?
