Would you try the CIO ( cry it out ) method for your 19 month old?

My 19 month old just will not sleep in her own crib. I have no idea what to do, my pediatrician recommend the CIO method but i just dont know how that works.

No. The research is pretty clear that CIO can have negative effects on their psyches. 
I have a 3 year old and a 15 month old. I have never and will never try cry it out on either. 3 year old is a crappy sleeper with night terrors. 15 month old is a champion sleeper who puts himself to sleep.

I let her cry up to a certain point. I won’t let her cry longer than 10 minutes max. Without going in to give her a back rub or cuddle. (She’s nearly 16 months)

Absolutely not. I don’t believe in CIO method for many reasons. 
My son is 3. We rock him to sleep every night and will continue to do so until he says no.

Nope I would never and will never if I have more kids in the future. I think even gentle cry it out methods are cruel. If I was crying that hard I'd want someone there to comfort me. I don't like sleeping alone. Why should a baby be any different?

We did a modified version. I couldn’t go for 10-15 mins so we did about 3 mins, go in and comfort her until she calmed down but try calming without picking her up. Use my hands and talk to her to get her to relax. Then walk out and if she started crying again, wait 2-3 mins and go back in. If she was hysterical, I would pick her up and rock her until she was calm.
I hated leaving her crying as well so I couldn’t do the Ferber Method

I’ve done the cry it out method for my daughter at 4 months. It’s been nothing but wonderful for all of us. She’s been sleeping through the night since she was 4 months. 7pm-7am. She’s 21 months now and still sleeping on that schedule with absolutely no problems. It works different for everyone. If you feel comfortable doing it then try. If not, don’t.

Do your own research. Don’t rely on the people of the internet to tell you yes or no. 
Personally I’d look into a pediatric sleep consultant. There are tons of options out there.
