I don’t really know exactly what you mean by joining the sex industry... but I guess generally, you should probably use a “stage name”, don’t give out your real one if you can. Don’t give out your address (like if you’re a cam girl) if people want to send gifts, set up a P.O. Box. If you’ll be having sex with people, use condoms, and ensure you’re on birth control. Also insist your partners must be STI tested prior ESPECIALLY if no condom will be used. You yourself should be tested regularly. Probably once monthly to be safe. Depending on what your doing if you show your face then anyone who knows you will be able to find out so be prepared for backlash. Angry parents and relatives, disapproving friends. You may lose a lot of people over it because they don’t want to associate. Try not to take it personally I guess. If you plan on being an escort of some kind, keep yourself safe. Ensure that someone always know where you will be and when you should return. Carry pepper spray, and do not eat or drink things that you have not seen poured or prepared yourself (unless it’s like a restaurant), you don’t want to end up drugged. If you mean like doing actual porn and not a cam girl thing then move out being the first. Try with REAL companies. None of that casting couch shit. And personally, I'd say talk to someone first.
