Cravings and food aversions
Oh pregnancy, the luxury of getting away to eat anything that you want and not worry about fighting into a swim suit. And the joys, of just thinking about food that makes you sick.
What’s been your craving this far? Multiple cravings? Different craving with different pregnancies?
What been making you sick at just the thought or someone mentioning a type or food?
My first pregnancy I craved anything orange! Orange juice, oranges, orange star burst, ohh and I loved the orange ice cream push pops! Lol the downfall, I couldn’t stand to eat or look at hamburgers! And the smell of salsa? Oh forget it! To this day I can’t even think about salsa without feeling nausea. I have to go as far as having someone else serve salsa if I have a guest ask for it!!
My second pregnancy, I craved jalapeños and chocolate milk! Not together I may add. But I’m surprised my daughter didn’t come out sucking on a jalapeño popper! That pregnancy I hated meat! Seafood I could deal with and mostly ate tuna! The sight of bone marrow and duck made me sick. Working in a restaurant while pregnant has got to be one of the hardest jobs ever!
Now this third pregnancy, thus far my only craving has been homemade chicken noodle soup and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I haven’t gotten sick yet. The only thing that makes me feel nausea is sometimes queso here and there. Fingers crossed it stays that way with not actually getting sick this time around!
