When did your 3 year old son start to talk and be able to count?

So my son turned 3 in October, he can say a few words but cannot talk in a sentence, he just does baby talk, I heard boys just take longer but I don’t know
Also I been trying to teach him 1-10 and he just can’t say any of the numbers, the only number he says is 2 but can’t say anything else, I just want to know if your sons are the same age doing the same thing? I heard a lot of boys don’t start actually talking completely until maybe 5

My son is 2, knows his ABCs, counts to 13, knows tons of colors and shapes, and can name any construction vehicle, emergency vehicle, or train car you ask about. 
I would advise contacting speech therapy and I'm surprised your pediatrician hasn't suggested this already

My son will be 4 on the 29th. He knows his ABCs, can count to 20, knows all of his colors and shapes, can tell you his full name and holds a very good conversation. Not all kids develop the same. Some take longer than others. Just continue to work with him on it daily. Possibly buy and handmake flashcards for him. He will catch on and then soon blow your mind away by what he says. My son catches me so off guard sometimes I won't even know how to respond for a minute.

At three you can request to have him evaluated by your public school system. I’m surprised your doctor never recommended early intervention. It is not the norm for boys not to talk until 5.

My 3 yr old son had a little bit of delayed speech as well. He now talks in short sentences and says every word possible. He can count to 10 and knows his colors and every body part he can point them out and even label them. He didn't get to this point quickly tho. Me and my hubs work with him everyday with words colors numbers shapes we read him books all the time. His dr is still recommending him into speech therapy which im all for because i know he's sooooo smart he just needs a little bit of help. My daughter who is 1 and a half talks a lot more than my son did at that age. I would recommend getting your son into speech therapy and or even preschool or like a head start program. 
My aunt and uncle have degrees in child development and i always ask them & my sons dr if he's doing well and stuff they all say he's doing good he just needed a little booster with more help from me and my husband and his developmental coach that comes to our house and works with him.

My son is now 4, and has been diagnosed with speech delay since around 2 years old. He’s been getting treatment and actually started pre-K at 3 years old. in the beginning, he couldn’t speak, identify anything, follow simple directions. Although he tested negative for Autism, he did have surgery on his ears because of fluid being stuck in his ears. Don’t ignore the signs or your gut feeling. Take action now while he’s still young! Goodluck! It will get better! My son now knows his numbers, how to spell his name, identify people and their names. So much progress

My son was counting to 10 at the age of 1.5. I don’t think sex has anything to do with their development. He’s been talking in full sentences since he was 2 years old. If you are concerned, you should speak to his doc about seeing a therapist or getting tests performed.

I would definitely have him evaluated. 
I did right away at about a year old, since he was tongue tied. Kept an eye on his communication until he was 2. Realized he was 12 months behind. He had to go to these IEPs and what not, but they put him in Preschool (3yearold) this past September 2019, and within these past 4 months my child has shown so much improvement in talking. He amazes me in the stuff he says 😍😍 lol it's even helped me communicate more with him for potty training, and he's doing so good!
We also have a nephew that is a year older than he is and is even more behind than he is and gets help regularly as well. 
Honestly it's so worth it and you'll feel better once getting on it

My daughter is about to be 3 and only say a few words. At age of 2 the doctor had asked for us to look into birth until 3 is a speech therapist they come to our home and teach her but slow she is making progress. So far she knows mom, dad, dog, no, yummy, bottle but not clear like we say but the sounding is there. Not every kid learns the same and speak by the age of 2.

That doesn’t sound right...
My son has been talking since 2. He’s 3.5 and he’s pretty much been able to say any letter I tell him to say and has part of the alphabet down on his own and knows his numbers and he can talk in sentences and has been able to since a little before turning 3. He repeats anything and everything I say, has great memory, he talks about his day... basically everything. I would suggest seeing someone about that..
