Twins born at 34 weeks

Twins born at 34 weeks! So I started contracting around 11am Wednesday morning, 1/22/2020, and I made it to the hospital around 4pm. I was trying to wait it out and see if the contractions would stop. Well they didn’t, and they were about 5 minutes apart. They weren’t all painful but the ones that were painful was causing back pain as well. So I get to the hospital and they whisk me off to labor and delivery. I get all strapped to the monitors and an Iv was started. They called my Dr to make sure she was aware of what’s going on. My Dr is amazing and came straight to the hospital to make sure everything was ok. She checked my cervix to find me 4 centimeters and almost fully effaced. So she just looked at me and said we have to deliver these babies now! I knew that they would be here soon but I didn’t think today. So they immediately prepped me for c section. I recieved a few medicines through iv to make sure I didn’t vomit and they gave me antibiotics. They inserted a catheter. And then asministered the spinal tap. That spinal tap made me feel nauseous and dizzy but they said it was normal and after about 10 minutes I was fine. Completely numb from the waist down surgery began. At 7:48 my baby boy entered this world at 4 pounds and 2 ounces. My baby girl came one minute later weighing 3 pounds and 12 ounces. They are both in the NICU and so far so good. It all happened so fast and I’m happy everything went so smoothly. Now I’m just in my room where I’m supposed to be resting but I can’t stop thinking of my children. I’m so happy and so blessed .
