ROOMMATE RANT

I share my room with another girl and both of us work full time jobs. However her she is regular drinker AND smokes weed regularly- both these things I have no problems with. She smokes in the bathroom sometimes at night which I am also okay with, as long as she cleans up after and gets rid of the smell.

What I'm not okay with is turning the light on when she doesn't need it in the middle of the night and leaving it like that. She'd come back at drunk out of the wit at 1 am, switch on the light,grab her fucking weed and go straight into the bathroom. doesn't care if there is another person trying to sleep in the room. I'm someone who absolutely cannot sleep with the lights on and more so of someone switches it on in between my sleep. im a light sleeper and will probably not be able to go back to sleep for another 30-45 mins because of this sleep disrupt. I dont get to give her the talk because at night she's fucking drunk and probably not aware of her surroundings. at morning i wake up way before her and leave for her and by the time i return, she's not in the room. however i did tell her one time when we both were in the room that i cant deal with sleeping with the lights on so if she's not using it, she better switch it off.

i mean look, if you had switched on the light because you were actually using it, i probably wouldn't be complaining because she's paying her share of the rent. i would happily compromise. but here she doesnt even use it. she legit goes into the bathroom straight without switching off the light!! im so annoyed i can't even explain ugh. I don't wanna move out because the location is convenient for me and i dont earn enough to pay for an entire apartment to myself. really don't know what to do about living with someone this entitled.
