Is it weird??

I am 23 years old. I am on a dating/hook up site. Sadly all the guys I’ve met have ended up being 1 night stands. Well I’m sitting here at work and I get a message from a guy that is 45. He’s not bad looking. We start talking a little bit and he asks me on a date. I agree and go to his page to see a picture of him with 2 teenage boys and I feel like I recognized one. I asked him who the boy was and sure enough, he tells me it’s his son, that I went to school with and tried to date several years back. Sadly his son died in an accident a couple years ago. He thought it was a cool thing that once he decided to try to move past his sons passing and be more social he ends up finding me and I’m the first person he has asked out since it happened. He thinks it’s cool that I knew his son. The only think is, is this guy is older than my dad by a couple years. It doesn’t really bother me, it is just a date. But this isn’t weird is it??
