Giving dad confidence?
Hi y’all. I’m a FTM and my husband is a FTD. He doesn’t have a lot of experience with kids. My LO is 6 weeks old and my husband is having a hard time having confidence with holding our kid. Mostly because he says I have boobs, so our son can get comfortable laying on my chest whereas he doesn’t. And when he holds him, the baby just seems uncomfortable. It ruins any confidence he has and because of that, he doesn’t like holding the baby. I’ve told him that the baby doesn’t get comfortable on me as quickly as he thinks. (It usually takes a couple of minutes to adjust. And sometimes he just refuses to get comfortable) I have a little more experience with babies so I know how to calm them down. (Sometimes).
Any tips on helping my husband gain confidence?
