Teething baby? 😔
My baby girl will be 3 months in 3 days. For the last couple of weeks she has shown some signs of ‘possible’ teething. Started at the beginning with just more drooling, but didn’t think much of it because I know around this age their salivary glands are maturing. But she is to the point where she is very drooly, she is constantly chewing her pointer finger (she has never taken a pacifier), she is sucking on her bottom lip/constantly running her tongue over her bottom gums. She’s also got very red cheeks and had been lying with her ear. Yesterday she has been the fussiest baby when she’s usually SO happy 95% of the time and only cries for food. Last night was also horrible, she would just cry and cry, even holding her wasn’t giving her comfort. It took me 5 hours to get her to actually sleep when she always is asleep by 11pm and only wakes once in the night. She would keep waking up every 20 minutes or less crying out. It’s all so unlike her. Sometimes we’ll place a clean finger and elfin them over her gums and she lets us. I can’t say 100% it’s teething, but I just have a feeling. If it’s a generic thing I had my first 2 teeth before I was 4 months old.
Anybody else’s babies show these signs? If it is teething what are some different remedies? We try a frozen washcloth and various teethers. She only sometimes will use the washcloth.
