Help with baby daddy

I am staying home mom with also a 2 years old daughter and my baby daddy is the who makes all the money and pay the bills for the house.... when we get to bad arguments I say if I leave you I am taking my daughter with me and he he said NO she is stay him and with her stuff and he will always bring up he is the one has a job and can take care of her. He saying I don't have a job and no money to take care of her... He also stay If i do i would put her in foster care because I do have anything. What can I do?? What do I do?? Can I leave with my daughter without the cops or would I get in deep trouble for taking her without a job?? I'M LOSS About this whole thing.... ps I have been with him for 8years also never married.... Live in .CA.....
