VBAC or Scheduled C-section?

Hey Mamas, Has anyone out there gone through a pretty traumatic first birth (24 hours of labor ending in an emergency c-section) and then successfully done a VBAC with their second? I’m curious if it’s possible or if I should just do the scheduled c-section route?

I had 22 hours and pushed for 5 to end up w a csection. I just had my 2nd csection and it was amazing. The whole experience from start to end was a breeze. Even recovery. My fear with a vbac was I would end up with a csection anyways so out of my own fear I skipped that part.

My first was emergency and I refused VBAC for my second. My second went perfect and so easy. Everything was calm.

I would try the vbac. My 3rd baby was my 1st c section, so I knew the difference. My 4th I was really adamant about a vbac. Unfortunately I got preeclampsia and induction failed  (my cervix was barely dilated going in) and I ended up in another c section, but I'm still glad I tried. It was a few difficult hours, but if it had succeeded it would have meant a tremendously better recovery.

Yes and had a beautiful vbac 16mo later.       It was absolutely amazing.  My first birth was a horrible induction that ended in failure to progress. It was just not fun.   Second baby went into natural labor at 38w was in labor ab 15 hours (much shorter than my first)    it was a smooth uncomplicated delivery.        Vbac isnt for everyone but I'm glad that I gave it a go
