FTM and first c-section. Tomorrow I’ll be 3 weeks postpartum. Dr removed bandage strips today but it’s sticky and I’m scared to pull it apart. She wants me to rub vitamin E oil but I wanna make sure it gets on the incision. Any tips to make it not sticky?

I used a baby wipe with a small amount of coconut oil and wore a binder so that i wouldn’t feel sticky on my clothes in the meantime while I worked on my confidence on the scar. Can barely see it now! Ten month pp. didn’t use any oils or whatever besides some stretch mark cream occasionally & it’s nearly gone so don’t be too worried about tending to it for that reason, just keep it clean!

It took forever for my abdomen to not be sticky. I had a compression bandage for nearly 5 days and that thing was like glue. I even tried straight acetone to get it off - it went from hip to hip. It eventually just wore off but it took many weeks. The oil will likely help with the residue too.
