Herpes and vaginal delivery

I just found out today that I have vaginal herpes I’m 35+5 weeks along. I know that if I am broke out when I go into labor I will have to have a c-section. This is my second baby and I had a natural birth with my first one. I was put on medication today to try and suppress the out break and terrified it won’t go away by the time I have the baby 💔 has anyone been put on medication this late in pregnancy with herpes and had a successful vaginal delivery? If not what should I expect when having a c-section. I am absolutely afraid to have a c-section!
