Anyone with unexplained infertility get any answers with IVF?

We have unexplained and will be starting IVF later this year. I was just wondering if IVF offered anyone an explanation as to what might be causing the problem. It just drives me crazy not having any answers.

I don’t think it gives you answers we have unexplained fertility and did iui and got pregnant the first time and we still don’t know why we couldn’t get pregnant

We were always unexplained infertility, so frustrating!! We went through every test known to man and always passed them. Left all FIVE different REs scratching their heads. 2 IUIs didn't work, 3 failed IVFs. 2 years after completing my failed fertility treatments my gyno discovered I had endometriosis 🤦 he removed it and I was pregnant naturally for the 1st time ever after a decade of not one single natural pregnancy! No RE was ever willing to perform laparoscopy on me to ck for endometriosis bc I had none of the typical symptoms. Ummm, INFERTILITY is a symptom, duh. Always frustrated me that they refused to ck. I wasted so much money, blood, swear n tears on fertility treatments for nothing😫 All I needed was my endometriosis removed, apparently 🤷 I certainly hope you get the answers you need!😘

Well we were unexplained also. We moved onto IVF and after retrieval, none of my eggs fertilized naturally. ICSI wasn’t part of the protocol. It was so so devastating to say the least. This was obviously the reason we weren’t getting pregnant. The embryologist just said they don’t know why these things happen when everything looked great, just said the eggs and sperm “weren’t communicating”. They performed ICSI the day after retrieval and we were blessed to have just one make it! Our 7 month old baby girl 💕 So we never really did get any answers. I learned many things from the first cycle though. But we plan to meet back with our Dr this year sometime for a consult for another round of IVF for baby #2 hopefully, and my first question will be about our diagnosis and exactly what happened the first round so we understand. I still have no clue what caused total failed fertilization (without ICSI). It’s very frustrating, somewhat a relief, bc now I know why we weren’t getting pregnant and why all our IUI’s failed. We never would’ve known. I just need more info now.

We are unexplained. We have been through IVF and just did second frozen embryo transfer. Still no answers or reason why we haven't gotten pregnant 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I'm with you. I think it's so frustrating not just having an answer or something to "fix"

You need to find a doctor who orders as many tests as necessary so you can get a proper diagnosis & treatment.
IVF is just an aggressive treatment, and it might not work for you, depending on the cause of your infertility. It’s worth spending the money on figuring out what’s going on. Good luck!!

While going through this process I discovered the reason for my infertility and it has not made it any easier or given me a solution. Basically my eggs are low quality. Started IVF at age 34 and I was not expecting that to be my issue. When I do an ER (so far I have had 3) I am hoping and shooting for just one embroyo and sometimes getting notinimg. I guess I am just saying if you had an  obvious explanation, you might have found the odds stacked against you. 
Lots of people who have unexplained infertility are successful with IVF. There are a lot of unknowns and you sort of just have to give it a shot to find out if it will work for you. Good luck!
