Gestational diabetes
So I’ve been testing my sugars every day 4x a day. My numbers consistently hover around 95, even when I’ve had something surgery like tea or ice cream. My only really high numbers where yesterday because we went out to eat but they were still in range. My fasting numbers are still “high” because it’s usually around 95 and the range is 70-90. For anyone who has had gestational diabetes and really good consistent numbers did your doctor let you reduce the amount of times you had to check? I’m just getting really annoyed stabbing my finger so many times just for my numbers to be normal even when I’ve eaten like crap. I have an appointment this Friday to go over my first two weeks of numbers and I’m just wondering what to expect.
Edit: I know gestational diabetes gets worse as the pregnancy progresses so I’m not trying to get out of testing all together, just seeing if anyone else has been through the same thing and got to reduce the number of times they tested until later in the pregnancy.
