If you REALLY wanted to have a baby but come to find out your boyfriend couldn't have kids...what would you do? Would you be able to stay or would you leave so you could have a child?

it depends tbh. how long have we been together? how much do i see a future with him? there’s other ways of having a baby even if he’s infertile. now if he didn’t WANT children that’s another story.

There are other ways to have a child without you carrying it. It’s not the mans fault if they can’t have kids so I feel it would be very unfair to leave them, and I’d like to think that if it was me, he wouldn’t leave.

Too many people on here don’t seem to realize that having a child biologically is not the only way you can have a kid.

I think it depends on a lot of factors. It depends on how long we’d been dating, and how I felt about him deep down. I’m assuming you’re not married - if that is the case I definitely would not leave, but if only dating I would consider it. I’m sure it’s a really difficult decision to make and there will be responses that will say that leaving is cruel or unfair, but I also don’t think it’s fair to expect someone to give up a lifelong dream, either. It’s not a question of fair or not, because it’s not really “fair” either way. Yes of course there are other ways to become parents than biologically but whether you’d be open to those paths to parenthood is a personal decision, and one that should never be forced on anyone. If I couldn’t have biological kids and I knew my boyfriend (again, I say boyfriend, not husband) had a strong desire/dream to have biological children, I don’t think I would expect him to stay with me if he felt he needed to leave. Of course I’d be hurt and heartbroken, but i would never feel good about being the one he chose over that dream.

If he was just a boyfriend I would leave. Sorry but I made no promises of forever in front of family/God/the law to be with that person for forever...so yeah I wouldn't stay
