Was I being overly sensitive?

So there’s this guy I work with and he made this Facebook post saying “what do you call a fat girl with a rape whistle? An optimist.” And I commented saying that it was uncool and a bunch of people (mostly men) attacked me for being a snowflake or not being able to take a joke. Was I being overly sensitive? Because I feel like there’s a line between dark humor and it just not being funny.
