Storing enough breast milk anxiety

Re

People are going to read this and call me crazy but when I’m breastfeeding my self worth is wrapped up in milk production. This is my third baby and I’ve never lost my supply like this before.

Starting Jan. 12 I got a stomach virus that lasted 8 days. I vomited for 36 hours, wasn’t able to eat more than a nibble of a cracker/ice chips/popsicles for another 48 hours, and held a fever until day 8. It took another 7 days to fully recover.

The day after the vomiting ended I lost my supply in total. Couldn’t even hand express a dribble. I have been working to build it back since. Today is the first day I’ve pumped more than an oz.

While I was sick we obviously used my stash when I wasn’t able to nurse (about the first 12 hours of vomiting).

I work as a college professor and am gone for class 2 nights a week. She goes through roughly two 4oz bottles per night. I have roughly 1000oz stored up yet, and am back to putting one to two 6oz bags in the freezer daily. But daily now I find myself nervous/obsessing over how many oz I can pump per session (opposite side from when she nurses).

Anybody else able to identify or am I crazy?
