“Idiot” big deal or no?

My partner sometimes calls me “idiot” or “stupid” when I misunderstand something, didn’t hear something, wasn’t paying attention, etc. Am I being a baby when it hurts my feelings? He doesn’t really mean it, it just like a little thing he says sometimes because it’s annoying when I don’t get something the first time. How do I shrug it off? Sometimes in my head I replace the word “idiot” with “silly” or something but still lol
