I only did it to find out the gender early. Of course I was relieved to find out the genetic results were normal or “low risk” but I would’ve kept my baby either way.

Depends on if knowing would change your decision on keeping the baby. We didn’t do any because we knew no matter what the outcome we were going to love and raise our babies however. But I could see doing it if your families have a history of genetic issues, if only to be informed as to what you may face come parenthood.

Depending on how young you are, those test often gift false positives for things your baby may not have. My doctors office doesnt suggest them to 18-25 year olds

I did it, If this is the NIPT test your talking about, i got the blood test and ultrasound and it does sound scary but at the same time its a relief because you know if everything is okay or if something does show up you can take the next steps for your baby as in being prepared if the baby needs any medical care after birth or in the future i guess i just always had the mindset of wanting to be prepared but at the end of the day i knew no matter what i love this baby.
