So I know the epidural takes away the pain

but all of it or just most of it? and do you still feel the pressure of your vagina stretching and the baby going down or is all that numb and you just sit there?

I wanna get the epidural because i’m deeeeeeathly afraid of pain and I scared myself reading those perineal tearing stories

Idk I just get stressed out whenever I think about the pain i’ll be going through I have 0 tolerance and that’s why I was a little hesitant to get pregnant but I knew a lifetime of love for a child is worth all the pain and suffering in the world i’ll go through for a few hours.

im expecting to ask for the epidural I just wanna know what to expect so I can find ways to help me keep calm and not stress about it. i’ve been meditating a lot whenever I get stressed but as I get closer and closer it’s harder to not think about it and try to mentally prepare for it.

any tips on ways to keep calm and help in addition to the epidural?
