Gestational Diabetes confirmed 😟

Any momma's out there that started pregnancy with GD, I'm confirmed at 12 weeks after failing the 3 hour slightly elevated. I've been referred to a specialist, but I'd like to hear how this has affected other momma's pregnancy experiences. This is my first so I'm not sure what to expect other than reading about 3rd trimester concerns of preeclampsia, high blood pressure and a large baby requiring a C-section. Not sure how to feel about it other than disappointed in myself.
