3.5 year old keeps pees when mad

So my son has been such a turd lately. He’s just started this new thing where he pees on stuff when he gets mad. How do I stop this?

*husband and I don’t spank because it doesn’t work. I’ve sat him down and calmly tried explaining why he can’t pee on things just because he’s mad. His response is “I just so angry I can’t stop” he peed all over his floor, toys, bed and wall when we sent him to his room for timeout (after I had told him to use the bathroom and he refused because he didn’t have to) this is the third day in a row that he has done this. I don’t want to yell at him but sometimes I get so angry when he does these things that I do. I don’t want to screw him up forever because I feel like That’s how sociopaths are made.

He’s my first baby and I don’t know what to do, my parents spanked and yelled at me and I don’t want to raise him that way but sometimes I see my parents in myself and I just want to do better but I feel doomed.
