Picky eater? Spitting Food out?

So our little guy was a champion purée eater. Pretty much ate anything and loved almost all flavors we gave him. For the last 2-2.5 months he rejects being fed purées which is fine we’ve been transitioning to finger foods anyway. Well with finger foods he just doesn’t want to eat much. He takes a few bites and mostly plays with it. At first I figured it was just a stage. But he always wants what we are eating and of course I share but then he doesn’t eat.

Also lately he eats chews something for a bit then spits it out. Picks up a new piece chews and then spits it out and on to the next again and again.

Anyone going through similar? Any recommendations?
