Pregnant after birth stories?

I’m 6 weeks post partum and was breastfeeding exclusively for the first three weeks then part time with formula feeds now only once in morning and/or evening but having nosebleeds and diarrhoea and pinching in ovaries, have had sex unprotected but was told breastfeeding makes pregnancy unlikely... has anybody had experience of falling pregnant after birth or stories??

You are very fertile after having a baby. Breast feeding is NOT birth control.

I breastfed and thought I wouldn’t ovulate. I’m pregnant now due in August. Oops. :-/

I breastfed first a year after my daughter was born but stopped in September and I am pregnant and due in March... you do the math!

It works for some; it worked for me. But it doesn't work for all. I was told that as long as I was exclusively breastfeeding (no other food source for baby, so usually just until 6 months old), not going longer than 4 to 6 hours without feeding my baby, and my period had not yet started, it would most likely work, but not 100% guaranteed.
 I did not get pregnant with #2 until I had completely weaned my daughter, even though my cycle had come back. But then it happened lightning fast.
If you are already weaning off the breast and not using any other form of contraception, I would say your chances of getting pregnant are really high.

I got pregnant two months after giving birth. I was breastfeeding and on the mini pill. Breastfeeding alone definitely does not prevent pregnancy

I wasnbreasrfeeding 3 to 4 x a day once when i conceoved and 5 to 7 x a day my second time Periods werentegular at this point
